TROJENA Won The Bid To Host The Winter Asian Games 2029
TROJENA won the bid to host the Winter Asian Games 2029 during the general assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia held in Cambodia, which makes it the first west Asian City to host the AWG after declaring The Kingdom’s wish to host the Games in last August.
HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki ALFAISAL extended his congratulations to the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz AL SAUD and crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz AL SAUD for winning the bid to host the Winter Asian Games.
HRH affirmed, “This is a great victory for the Saudi nation and Gulf countries people due to the generous support offered to the Saudi sport sector that significantly contributes to the progress of sport and all other fields in the Kingdom for the purpose of delivering the objectives of the Saudi 2030 vision. This achievement also shed light on the enormous potential and the great infrastructure of Saudi Arabia to host and organize international-level sport competitions and Games successfully”.
Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi emphasized that TROJENA2029 illustrates the keen interest of the Saudi leadership taken in the sport movement in the Kingdom. Sparing no effort to push Saudi sport forward alongside the most advanced countries in the world.
On the other hand, Mr. Nadhem Alnasr CEO of NEOM offerd his thanks to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was very thankful for every member that took part in bringing this huge project into existence within the context of working on delivering the Saudi vision 2030 goals. He also said that “TROJENA” will have a suitable infrastructure to create the winter atmosphere in the heart of the desert, to make the Winter Games version of TROJENA, a global unprecedented event”.
The general assembly of OCA also included the launch of the identity and the emblem of the 7th Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games Riyadh2025 and displayed the report of Prince Turki Bin Abdulaziz ALFAISAL regarding the recent updates of the Asian Games Riyadh2034.
Furthermore, the general assembly endorsed the organizations of Riyadh; The Regional Olympic education and solidarity Conference, with the participation of Asian NOCs representatives and a number of IOC leaders from 1 to 9 December.
Elsewhere, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki ALFAISAL and the representative of the Saudi Ministry of foreign Mr. Waleed El Khereiji singed the opening contract of the regional office of the Olympic Council of Asia to be officially housed in Riyadh with Mr. Raja Randhir Singh President of OCA following the approval of the OCA general assembly. The regional office is to promote Olympic culture and education. It is considered a distinctive strategic step for the OCA to widely promote its activities. Moreover, Saudi Arabia is proving the significant role it plays within the Asian Olympic Movement due to the great help and assistance of the Saudi leadership.
