The Conclusion Of The World Combat Games Workshop
Prince Fahad bin Jalawi, General secretary of the senior organizing committee of the World Combat Games 2023 chaired a workshop for the participating international and national federations in the session. The workshop took place on Tuesday and held at Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Olympic Complex, Riyadh. His excellency Mr. Bader Alkadi, vice minister of sports attended the workshop. In addition to the presence of Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Al-Enezi, CEO of the SAOC, and Mr. Stephan Fox VP of the GAISF and number of the ministry of sports staff.
In the presence of national and international federations delegates, the workshop included the discussion of preparations of the facilities hosting the world Combat Games. As well as the logistical support and services provision during holding this great event in 2023.
Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi affirmed that this workshop is part of the session preparations in order to hold this event successfully, with the support of the great leadership and the follow-up of HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the higher Organizing Committee of the World Combat Games. HRH noted that the committee had begun preparations since Riyadh was declared to host this global event. They look forward to giving a good impression of the Saudi hosting and organization of major sports events.
This morning, the heads and representatives of the international federations took a tour of the facilities hosting the session. They visited King Saud University, Imam Mohammed bin Saud University and the Youth Welfare Hall in Riyadh, which will host the opening and closing ceremony. they were impressed by the remarkable potential they saw which assured them the success of this global event before it is held.
Worthy of note that Riyadh won the bid to host the session late last May under a contract signed between the SAOC President Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal and Mr. Stephan Fox.
the World Combat Games will include the following games: Aikido, Boxing, Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, Kendo, Kickboxing, Muay Thai “Thai boxing”, Sambo, Savate, Sumo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Wushu, and Fencing.
