Team Saudi Ended Its Participation In The 5th Islamic Solidarity Games Held

With the participation of 4,000 male and female athletes representing 54 Islamic countries. The Kingdom brought home 24 medals and placed 15th in the general rankings. The Saidi national weightlifting team deliver the highest share of medals, reaching 11 medals (1 gold, six silver and four bronze). Athletics came second with five medals (four silver and one bronze), karate with three medals (gold and two bronze), table tennis with two medals (one silver and one bronze), Paralympic swimming (one bronze) medal, and finally one one silver medal for the football event in the Under-23.
