SOPC’s Women in Sports Committee held a seminar on Growing participation in women’s sportat Misk Schools in Riyadh
In collaboration with Sport and Federations Relations Department, the Women In Sports Committee organized a seminar titled “Growing participation in women’s sport” today at Misk schools in Riyadh, where Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar, member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the President of the Women in Sports Committee, delivered an opening speech with the attendance of Dr. Maha Jaffali, the president of the Saudi Special Olympics Federation, member of the Women in Sports Committee, and Mrs. Jennie Price, the former CEO of Sport England, as main speakers.
During her virtual participation in a seminar, Princess Reema emphasized that Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has directly contributed to the realization of the dreams and ambitions of Saudi sports enthusiasts, particularly in the field of women’s sports.
Her Highness added that the strategic direction and diligent work resulting from Vision 2030 have pushed most Saudi women to surpass the highest ceilings of their ambitions, thanks to the support of the Saudi wise leadership. She also noted that the impact has extended to all members of society.

Jennie Price said having been involved in the SAOC’s Federation Transformation project and seen how the whole system is maturing, it is very exciting to see the growing importance of women’s participation and a real pleasure to be involved in today’s event at the Misk Schools..
This seminar is considered one of several initiatives initiated by the Women in Sports Committee under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar, with the aim of promoting the role of women’s leadership in the sports movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
