Saudi Olympic Celebrates The Olympic Day

The SAOC has celebrated the Olympic day of 2021 on june the 23rd. 206 Olympic committees around the world have celebrated the anniversary of the IOC which were found in 1894. The celebration was in the presence of vice president of the SAOC prince Fahad bin Jalawi. The celebration occurred at the grand meeting hall, in the seat of the Olympic committee in price Faisal bin Fahad complex, Riyadh.

 

Within this context, the Saudi Olympic has mounted an olympic exhibition at Alnakheel mall center. The exhibition included cultural and interactive activities in order to reinforce the Olympic movement’s values and principles, (move-learn-explore). This gesture aimed to encourage the practice of sports from all groups of society. Moreover, the exhibition’s visitors were received

 

To mark this occasion, the Olympic committee’s members exchanged souvenirs between each other.

 

Prince Fahad bin Jalawi affirmed that the Saudi Olympic is very keen to celebrate this occasion every year aiming to raise the society’s awareness of how important practicing sport is. HH also emphasized the importance of the role sports play in the society. In addition to organizing several sports events. Prince Fahad also praised all Saudi organizations and bodies who participated on this occasion, particularly, Qiddiya company, Neom company, and the Red Sea Development company.

 

It is also noteworthy that today’s celebration is 30 days earlier than the launch of the 32nd Olympics (Tokyo 2020). Saudi Arabia will participate with seven teams, the football Olympic team, . Ali Al-Khadrawi (table tennis), Youssef Bouarish (swimming), Saeed Al-Mutairi (shooting), Tariq Hamdi (karate), Suleiman Hammad (Judo), and the rowing national team.
