The Council of the Arab Football Federation announced the launch of the name “King Salman Cup” for the Arab Club Championship the Arab Federation competitions for the 2023 season. The new cup will be held in a system of preliminary qualifiers, and then finals, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the cities of Abha, Al-Baha and Taif.

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Arab Football Federation, raised his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for his kind approval to change the name from the Arab Football Clubs Championship to the King Salman Cup, and extended his thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his interest in the Arab Football Federation and its competitions and programs.
