HRH President of SOPC Signs Host City Contract Of AIMAG 2025

In light of hosting Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) 2025 in Riyadh for the first time ever, HRH Prince Abdulaziz AlFaisal, president of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee (SOPC) in his turn have signed the Host city contract with Mr. Raja Randhir SINGH, president of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The signing ceremony took place this Tuesday, as HH Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi Vice-president of SOPC and Mr. Hussain Al-Musallam the General Manager of the OCA attended the signing ceremony.

Prince Abdulaziz expressed in a press release that “it is so fulfilling to witness such an overall development of Saudi sport due to the great support of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH. Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman that leads the kingdom towards great achievements and great exposure as the kingdom is to host world-class competitions and forums, most notably, the World Combat Games 2023 and the Asian Games 2034.” Furthermore, Prince Abdulaziz extended his thanks and gratitude for signing the host city contract, as the Prince of Riyadh Province confirmed his complete appreciation for the unlimited support given to the sport sector by the Kingdom’s leadership expressing his best wishes of success to the minister of sport in the upcoming challenges.

His Excellency Mr. SINGH affirmed in a press release “he expresses his gratitude to the advancement of sport in the Kingdom and guarantees full supports of the OCA to the efforts of the kingdom to host such a prestigious event. Moreover, we are confident of a successful and efficient hosting by the Kingdom of the AIMAG 2025 and the Asian Games 2034 as well.”

Worth noting that Riyadh has won the bid to host the 7th version of the AIMAG during the meeting of the 40th general assembly of the OCA held on the last November in Dubai. The earlier versions of the games were held in Thailand 2005, Macao 2007, Vietnam 2009, South Korea 2013, Ashgabat 2017, and finally Thailand is to host the 6th version which takes place in 2023.
