HRH Al-Faisal Meets With Olympic Leaders

The Saudi shooting team player, Saeed Al-Mutairi, ranked 22nd  in the world at the end of the Shotgun Skate competition today, Monday, after collecting 119 out of 125 dishes during the 32nd Summer Olympics in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

Today, Monday, HRH the Head of the Saudi Mission, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and in the presence of his deputy, HH Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, held several international meetings with the heads of the delegations participating in the Tokyo Games 2020 at the residence of the official Saudi mission in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

His Highness met with the Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahd bin Nasser bin Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and members of the Kuwaiti Olympic Board of Directors, Sheikh Mubarak bin Faisal bin Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Jaber bin Thamer bin Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Secretary of the Kuwaiti Olympic, Captain Ali Al-Marri.

The meeting discussed the participation of the Saudi and Kuwaiti delegations in Tokyo and the strengthening of cooperation between the two sides to serve the sports and youth of the two countries.

HH also discussed with the President of the Polish Olympic Committee, Andrzej Krasinci, the possibility of signing an agreement between the Saudi Olympic Committee and its Polish counterpart, which would contribute to sports development in the two countries.

In the meeting that brought together HRH with the head of the World Anti-Doping Agency, Mr Witold Banka, the discussion touched on the Kingdom’s readiness to receive and organize a number of the agency’s activities. In addition to strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Sports and the agency concerning seminars, conferences and training courses, and providing technical support from the agency for the blood test laboratory for doping. His Highness also received the President of the International Triathlon Federation (Triathlon), Ms Marciol Casado, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the International Federation, Mr Antonio Arimani.

His Highness also met with the Secretary-General of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), Mrs Gunella Lindbergh, to discuss ways of cooperation between the Saudi Olympic Committee and the ANOC.
