HH Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi Alsaud Chaired The Saudi Olympic And Paralympic Delegation
VP of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee prince Fahad Bin Jalawi chaired the Saudi delegation at the XXVI general assembly of ANOC on behalf of HRH prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki ALFAISAL president of SOPC. The general assembly was held in Seoul, North Korea under the presidency of Dr. Robin E. Mitchel.
The general assembly included the election of Dr. Mitchel as president of ANOC for the next four years after serving acting president in the last two years. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al thani was also elected senior vice president of ANOC.
The reports of the LOCs of the forthcoming Olympics were adopted including Paris2024 Olympics, Youth Olympic 2024, Winter Olympics, Brisbane2032 Olympics, Besides the recommendations related to the activities of the NOCs and their participations at the Games supervised by the International Olympic Committee.
On behalf of the Saudi Olympic family, Prince Fahad Congratulated Dr.Mitchel for his election president of the ANOC wishing growth and progress for the association under his excellent leadership. HH congratulated Sheikh Joaan as well for his election as senior vice president of the ANOC as this position reflects the wide development and progress of GCC sport movement.
Within the same context, President of the International Olympic Committee met with HH prince Fahad and expressed his wishes of success of the Saudi National Games to be held for the first time ever in Riyadh from 27 October to 7 November.
The president of the Saudi delegation at the general assembly viewed the reports of the latest updates of the World Combat Games Riyadh to be held on October 2023. He also met with president of Skiing Union Mr. Kim Jae-youl and discussed the values of boosting communications and cooperation regarding the Asian Winter Games TROJENA2029.
Furthermore, Three parties signed the MoU: OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam, Jeongseon County Chief Seung Jun Choi and the Chair of the OCA Education Committee, His Highness Prince Fahad bin Jalawi. The MoU will contribute in initiating the needed cooperation to establish of the Asian Olympic Academy.
Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi illustrated that “the MoU is a huge stepping forward to strengthening the role of Olympic education in Asia and spread awareness of the Olympic charter among Asian people. HH also offered his gratitude to the Mr. Seung Jun Choi for adopting the MoU”.
