President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, approved the results of the elections for the Athletes Committee of the SOPC for the 2022-2026 sports cycle. The SOPC announced the door was open for voting last month, and the Athletes Committee members ran an electronic voting process among the members. Fifteen men and women athletes won the committee's membership, with the votes of all the participating athletes.
HRH Alfaisal also approved the re-appointment of Captain Ibrahim Al-Moaqil as Chairman of the Committee. The names of the selected players are as follows:
1- Tariq Hamdi - Karate.
2- Hussein Ali Reda - Rowing.
3- Yasmine Al-Dabbagh - Athletics.
4- Mohammed Al-Otaibi - Swimming.
5- Lama Al-Fawzan - Fencing.
6- Mujtaba Al Salem - Handball.
7- Ghada Al-Tasan - Weightlifting.
8- Ibrahim Al Moaqil - Volleyball
9- Rana Abu Harbash - Badminton.
10- Khaled Al-Mabti - Equestrian.
11- Abeer Al-Hamidi - Basketball.
12- Badr Al-Deghaither - Water polo.
13- Fayeq Abedi - Winter Sports.
14- Ahmed Sharbatly - Equestrian.
15- Saeed Hawsawi - Weightlifting.
It is noteworthy that the list included two representatives of the Paralympic Games, and a representative of winter sports, to ensure the inclusion and representation of all Saudi athletes from various sports and categories.
